Brigham: Klondike (24) (Rock Maple Inserts) Tobacco Pipe

Brigham's "24" bent Billiard is a muscular rendition of the shape-chart standard, its size and build slightly larger than the Canadian marque's nearly identical "23" version. Like the "23," the "24" boasts a heavy-set bowl that stands at the fore of a sweeping shank-and-stem arrangement, one that encourages a comfortable smoking posture and provides a gestural quality to the shape's profile. Though robust in its construction, the "24" is incredibly comfortable in hand, without being overwhelming, and it manages to be lightweight enough to smoke hands-free.

Named for the Klondike region of northwestern Canada's Yukon territory, the Klondike series is among Brigham's most premium offerings, combining excellent quality briar with a golden-amber stain polished to showcase the briar's natural grain. Presented across 13 of the Canadian marque's signature shapes, the Klondike line is an homage to Canada's natural beauty and the Klondike region's historic gold rush through the late 19th century.

Like all of Brigham's lineup, this pipe also comes complete with the marque's signature Rock Maple Insert. This special insert comprises a rock maple dowel drilled with a 3.5mm airway and pressure-fitted in the tenon via a special metal cap, helping to remove moisture and unpleasant flavors that develop during the smoking process. No chemicals or adhesives are used to manufacture Brigham's Rock Maple Inserts, ensuring a flavor-neutral profile that doesn't interfere with the tobacco. Moreover, because of the drilling, the Rock Maple Insert is able to pass a pipe cleaner, even while the pipe is still assembled.
