Brigham: Algonquin (226) (Rock Maple Inserts) Tobacco Pipe

Brigham's "26" shape varies depending on series, with some iterations taking the form of a gestural Rhodesian and others a bent Bulldog. As a Rhodesian, the "26" features a cylindrical shank and a more pronounced heel, with the bowl flaring upward until the rim's sudden taper. By contrast, the "26" as a bent Bulldog pairs a broad, Pot-like bowl to a structural diamond shank and a demurely curved saddle stem. Both designs, however, feature comfortable bends to encourage a relaxed smoking posture and imbuing the overall shapes with a reserved fluidity. This series, though, offers the "26" as a distinctive bent Dublin, highlighting a sinuous gesture and dramatically domed rim.

The Algonquin series draws inspiration from Canada's Algonquin Provincial Park and the calming serenity of nature. Using Brigham's highest-quality briar, the Algonquin series dresses pipes in a vivid chestnut smooth finish, showcasing a fetching array of grain. Offered in 12 different shapes, the Algonquin series exudes traditional appeal, and each pipe would make a fine addition to any smoker's regular rotation.

Like all of Brigham's lineup, this pipe also comes complete with the marque's signature Rock Maple Insert. This special insert comprises a rock maple dowel drilled with a 3.5mm airway and pressure-fitted in the tenon via a special metal cap, helping to remove moisture and unpleasant flavors that develop during the smoking process. No chemicals or adhesives are used to manufacture Brigham's Rock Maple Inserts, ensuring a flavor-neutral profile that doesn't interfere with the tobacco. Moreover, because of the drilling, the Rock Maple Insert is able to pass a pipe cleaner, even while the pipe is still assembled.
