Brigham: Chinook (77) (Rock Maple Inserts) Tobacco Pipe

Brigham's "77" paneled Rhodesian is a unique take on the standard design. The shape's classic profile is rendered through the round shank leading to a tapered stem, placing even more emphasis on the bowl. The bowl grows to a high-set waist featuring panels on each side, with these making a slow taper to the rim. A gentle forward cant adds a touch of understated dynamism to the profile and keeps things interesting, while the wide transition leaves plenty of room to drape a digit.

Brigham's Chinook line comprises a single finish across 13 shapes, defining a crisp, inky sandblast across the stummel and a trim band of silver colored metal at the junction. The series' namesake is that of the Chinook wind, a meteorological effect that encompasses persistent, wet, warm winds that flow into the Northwestern coast of North America from the southwest area of the Pacific Ocean. This phenomenon contributes a great deal of moisture to the surrounding areas and maintains the climate of the temperate rainforests which define the terrain of the region.

Like all of Brigham's lineup, this pipe also comes complete with the marque's signature Rock Maple Insert. This special insert comprises a rock maple dowel drilled with a 3.5mm airway and pressure-fitted in the tenon via a special metal cap, helping to remove moisture and unpleasant flavors that develop during the smoking process. No chemicals or adhesives are used to manufacture Brigham's Rock Maple Inserts, ensuring a flavor-neutral profile that doesn't interfere with the tobacco. Moreover, because of the drilling, the Rock Maple Insert is able to pass a pipe cleaner, even while the pipe is still assembled.
