Brigham: Giant Smooth (1203) (Rock Maple Inserts) Tobacco Pipe

Brigham's "1203" is a hearty take on the bent Brandy shape, offering a tapered, full-bodied bowl, tapered, upturned shank, and a demurely curved tapered stem. Despite its substantial build, the "1203" remains proportionally well-balanced, fitting naturally in hand. Additionally, it offers a capacious tobacco chamber, ensuring plenty of long, leisurely smoking sessions, which the shank and stem are poised to aid.

The Giant series from Brigham defines a specific shaping style unique to the line. It comprises both sandblasted and smooth finishes: the former a crisp, inky application that lends pipes a serious, old-school aesthetic, and the smooth a brighter, more vibrant auburn stain that reveals handsome grain throughout. Most appropriate to the Giant name, each of the pipes in this line are unified by their larger-than-standard sizes, creating intensely muscular profiles that stand out against many of the Canadian marque's more conservative offerings.

Like all of Brigham's lineup, this pipe also comes complete with the marque's signature Rock Maple Insert. This special insert comprises a rock maple dowel drilled with a 3.5mm airway and pressure-fitted in the tenon via a special metal cap, helping to remove moisture and unpleasant flavors that develop during the smoking process. No chemicals or adhesives are used to manufacture Brigham's Rock Maple Inserts, ensuring a flavor-neutral profile that doesn't interfere with the tobacco. Moreover, because of the drilling, the Rock Maple Insert is able to pass a pipe cleaner, even while the pipe is still assembled.
