Brigham: Mountaineer (387) (Rock Maple Inserts) Tobacco Pipe

Brigham's "87" is a charming rendition of the bent Dublin shape, offering the form's characteristic flaring bowl, which is set to a sinuously bent shank-and-stem arrangement. The languid curve of the shank and stem lend a gestural quality to the form's silhouette, while encouraging a comfortable smoking posture. Additionally, the bowl's cinched waistline conforms naturally to the hand, providing ample room for wrapping fingers to embrace.

The Mountaineer line is a smooth and traditional collection of pipes offered across a wide array of Brigham's shape chart. The finish is characterized by a rich walnut finish that always brings out the best in a pipe's grain. The effect produced is a timeless aesthetic at home on a back porch or mountain lodge.

Like all of Brigham's lineup, this pipe also comes complete with the marque's signature Rock Maple Insert. This special insert comprises a rock maple dowel drilled with a 3.5mm airway and pressure-fitted in the tenon via a special metal cap, helping to remove moisture and unpleasant flavors that develop during the smoking process. No chemicals or adhesives are used to manufacture Brigham's Rock Maple Inserts, ensuring a flavor-neutral profile that doesn't interfere with the tobacco. Moreover, because of the drilling, the Rock Maple Insert is able to pass a pipe cleaner, even while the pipe is still assembled.
