While more reserved in its shaping, Brighton has imbued this piece with a whimsical touch and a lively, dynamic profile. This pipe possesses a forward-urging stance, with a sweeping undercurve carrying the composition. From the arcing heel, the bowl grows supple, curvaceous walls that curl gracefully toward the subtly beveled rim, creating a figure that contours naturally and eagerly to the hand. From the bowl, a hearty, compact shank curves sinuously upward, fashioned with a bulbous, flaring mount of jet-black vulcanite, its inky complexion delightfully contrasted by a horn inlay near the junction. From there, the mount accepts a slender, arcing stem, the arrangement promoting a comfortable smoking posture.
