Davide Iafisco: Sandblasted Billiard Tobacco Pipe

While we've seen some elegant, classical Billiards from Davide Iafisco in the past, this is perhaps my favorite so far. With a tall, upright bowl and an oval shank, it presents a firm, muscular feel in hand, without using oversized proportions. In fact, it's easy to slip into a jacket pocket, coming in at just over four and a half inches in length. It's been combined with one of Davide's fantastic finishes — a crisp, low-profile sandblast, with blasted birdseye densely packed at the flanks, set against a smooth-polished rim with the underlying cross-grain on display. Excellent detail work here, and a superb balance of features.
