Davide Iafisco: Smooth Tomato Tobacco Pipe

Davide Iafisco is an Italian artisan with a distinct individual style, drawing inspiration not only from the Italian tradition, but American and Danish schools of pipe making alike. This Tomato is a fine example of Iafisco's work, placing an organically asymmetrical bowl at the fore of slim round shank and cumberland saddle stem. Said bowl maintains a taller, less squat shape than many iterations of the Tomato, but retains the broad proportions of the classic shape while creating an especially ergonomic curvature. Dressed in a rich, dark auburn stain, the stummel displays excellent cross grain and birdseye around the bowl, pairing handsomely with the sienna and ebony hues of the stem.
