I think Roman missed an opportunity with the name of this shape. As an almost Author-like Tomato, replete with plumpness, and wearing what appears to be a broad Elizabethan-style "ruffle" of honey blonde bamboo and pink polymerized dinosaur bone, he might have gotten away with calling it the "Bard." Well, I suppose, as he fashioned what most would certainly say is an undeniably impressive piece all around, with delicate vertical flame on all flanks of the squat Tomato bowl, as well as a long, rich cumberland stem. It's wearing his Double Flash grade stamp too, his second-highest, and I'd say the distinction is well-earned.
