Doctor's: Smooth Brandy with Bamboo and Boxwood (1411) (Double Flash) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-630-0151
A jack of all trades, Roman Kovalev has worked as a distiller, race car driver, and pediatric neurologist—the latter career being the one that inspired the name Doctor's Pipes. With a portfolio as individualistic as he is, Kovalev's resume consists of unique and whimsical pipes, often adorned with unorthodox accents and silhouettes that pull from the Japanese school of design. All of these features are seen crafted in the compact profile of this Brandy. Despite measuring just over five inches long, this pipe still houses a respectable tobacco chamber within its bowl, ensuring you don't sacrifice smoking time. Said bowl easily takes up the majority of this pipe's visual weight as its insulted walls rise from a full-bodied heel and taper inward to the rim. Out back, a comparatively lithe shank-and-stem combination extends from the transition, the pair connected by two bamboo knuckles for both color and textural contrast. Said bamboo is bookended by inky vulcanite, sitting in between the petite saddle stem and thin accent band. Both elements pair well with the smooth, chestnut-stained stummel, which offers beautiful flame grain across the bowl and dense patches of birdseye on the heel.
