Emiliano: Sandblasted Canadian Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-946-0023
Brazilian carver Emanuel de Queiroz Emiliano offers a wide selection of pipes, with his broad portfolio almost evenly split between shape-chart standards and more sculptural, Freehand-inspired designs. This Canadian represents the more conservative end of Emiliano's shaping spectrum, being a pitch-pert interpretation of the classic form. Up front, a tall, stocky bowl stands atop a wide, firm heel and grows thick walls that subtly taper to a taut, flat rim. A wide transition follows the bowl and sees the start of a trim oval shank that stretches out considerably before giving way to an abbreviated tapered stem. The slender dimensions of the shank-and-stem arrangement keep the totality of the pipe lightweight in hand and thrusts the majority of the visual weight toward the bowl, fostering an almost neoclassical outline. A crisp, dark sandblast completes the ensemble and highlights gorgeous grain throughout the stummel.
