Emiliano: Partially Sandblasted Volcano Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-946-0025
Brazilian craftsman Emanuel de Queiroz's, or Emiliano's, portfolio showcases a wide range of shapes, from expressive Freehands to classic, traditional pieces, often featuring tasteful accents that highlight his organic aesthetic. This Volcano exhibits Emiliano's characteristic style, offering a considerable curvature embellished by firm, structural features. This pipe features a strikingly sculptural design, with a squat, full-bodied bowl resting atop a wide, curved heel, encircled by a pronounced ridgeline. Above the ridge, the bowl tapers dramatically toward a taut rim, its angular fore enhancing the shape's geometric aesthetic. The heel sweeps upward at the bowl's fore, adding a forward-leaning momentum to the profile while offering a glimpse of birdseye on the underside. An upturned shank connects to the bowl via a wide transition, continuing the ridgeline from the heel and wrapping around the shank face, revealing a lenticular shape in profile. Said shank face is left smooth, drawing attention to the junction as it pairs to a slender, arching stem of black vulcanite. Save for the smooth underside, the stummel wears an ebony-hued sandblast that highlights an impressive array of growth rings and flame grain across the briar's surface.
