Genod: Sandblasted Rhodesian Tobacco Pipe

A stout Rhodesian rendition, this piece from French marque Genod boasts a muscular bowl and a trim stretch of thick shank, upturned nicely and terminating in a silvery metal dome. The bowl itself is rounded by a ridgeline which marks the taper to the rim and is oriented right at the transition, allowing the eye to appreciate the squat build of the pipe. Ebbing out of the shank is a tapered stem that expands as the bit starts, being more compressed at the fitment near the shank end. Dressed in a crisp, earthy sandblast, the aesthetic here is one of refined ruggedness.
