A rather stout Volcano rendition from French marque Genod, this piece showcases a broad base that, rather than being surrounded by a wrapping ridgeline, is possessed of a flattened underside and a plump, low-set waistline. The shank here transitions low on the bowl and angles upward just a touch, poising the demurely bent stem for comfortable smoking. The bowl is Brandy like, with a steep taper from the waist to the rim, and its hearty walls provide a lovely canvass for the low-depth, earthy sandblast which dresses the briar here, contrasted nicely by a domed metal fitment at the shank end.
