Grechukhin Design: Sandblasted Bent Egg with Ivorite
Product Number: 002-808-0020
I usually associate Vladimir Grechukhin's work with a good bit of firmness, particularly in his vertical shanks, though this Grechukhin Design Egg takes things in a slightly different direction. A well-rounded shank gives its soft, Egg bowl a "perched" appearance, highlighted further by the slight downturn of the stem behind. It's finished in a warm sandblast, stacks of ring grain clearly visible, though the high polish keeps things quite comfortable in hand. And at the rear, a fine accent of pale ivorite, creating a delightful bridge between the warmth of the stummel and the jet-black stem.- Rachel DuBose
