Grechukhin Design: Smooth Bent Apple with Zebrawood

Grechukhin Design pipes are all individually shaped and designed by master artisan Vladimir Grechukhin with fellow Russian carver Alexander Tupitsyn responsible for the finishing process of each piece. This bent Apple is an excellent example of Grechukhin's personal style, deftly combining robust proportions with supple curves while remaining quite compact. The plump, well-rounded bowl remains the focal point of this composition, with the lithely bent shank and stem trailing away behind. Whorls of birdseye dominate the entire underside while tight streaks of vertical grain cascade down the chubby bowl's flanks, pairing nicely with the grain of the zebrawood accent band.
