Grechukhin: Sandblasted Two-Tone Rhodesian with Black Palm
Product Number: 002-497-0123
Foregoing the characteristic forward-canted bowl/vertically oriented chamber combination we've seen implemented on many of his Rhodesian renditions, Vladimir Grechukhin instead opted to emphasize the forward cant of this piece by lending the aft's section of the beveled rim more mass than the fore. The result is a strong sense of implied momentum to this stocky briar, even further highlighted by the use of a darker-hued stain than the majority of the crimson-finished stummel. This finish also serves to throw visual weight to the vast display of blasted birdseye and ring grain, the texture of which has been coaxed to showcase a crisp, deep pattern. A phenomenal piece.
