Grechukhin: Sandblasted Bent Brandy
Product Number: 002-497-0189
Well on the more understated (not to mention compact) end of the carver's shaping spectrum, yet no less impressive for it, this petite bent Brandy from Vladimir Grechukhin is no joke. We've seen a similar bowl form from him in the past, but this one seems to distill the overt sense of power and implied motion typically seen in Grechukhin's pipes into something far more lithe and graceful. There's still a good bit of substance to it though, and the contrast-sandblasted display of ring-grain is nothing short of stunning. Recommended.- Daniel Bumgardner
