Grechukhin: Smooth Bent Apple with Boxwood (G)
Product Number: 002-497-0215
One of Vladimir's more Danish influenced pieces, this pipe has a full, rotund bowl, stout shank, and a soft, muscular profile – creating a robust, but compact shape that is altogether a very attractive briar. Added to the killer shaping, we have a conflagration of flame grain enrobing the surface of the bowl and a tempest of birdseye dominating the underside of the stummel; leaving no one wondering why Vladimir bestowed this piece with the venerable "G" stamp. Continuing to add to the overall Danish aesthetic, Grechukhin has crowned the shank with a bright disc of boxwood, further emphasizing the softness of line and form. Spectacular work.
