Henri Sorensen: Sandblasted Bent Pot Tobacco Pipe

With a large, bulbous bowl, this Pot from Henri Sørensen settles down to smaller proportions at the shank and mouthpiece, pushing most of its energy forward. The slightly domed, wide rim is smooth in contrast to the low profile, Danish sandblast, which highlights very good grain. The smooth heel is curved upward at the forward side of the bowl and likewise domed, creating a harmonic parallel to the rim, an impressive design element. The upwardly gesturing saddle stem nearly disappears in profile. With a pleasing walnut/ruby stain, this pipe is easy in the hand and friendly to the touch.
