Jacono: Rook Bent Apple

Product Number: 002-616-0685

The Italian tradition of pipemaking often takes classic English and French shapes and dramatizes their proportions in striking, eye-catching manner. Tonino Jacono has done so here in this bent Apple rendition, beefing up the proportions for a palm-filling bowl that's matched by the robust shank. That all said, this piece remains conveniently compact in overall length, the robust stummel balanced by a lithe bend and short size. It makes for a piece that remains lightweight and easily clenched while still offering the chamber dimensions of a larger pipe, all dressed in the Italian carver's smoky Rook finish to highlight the briar's sweeping flame grain.
