With a subtle hint of Brandy in the bowl's rounded base and taper toward the rim, this bent Billiard from Jacono presents a natural in-hand feel that's made all the more pleasing by Tonino's crisp Pawn sandblast, here bringing out a wealth of mesmerizing ring grain. Shape-wise, its less neoclassic in the relative proportions between bowl and shank, falling into the smaller end of the Italian carver's shaping spectrum. Dressed in a ruby-tinged stain, it's accented handsomely with a smooth-polished rim and matching shank end for a simple presentation that draws focus to the stummel's stunning grain.
