Jacono: Rook Bent Dublin

Product Number: 002-616-1019

Tonino Jacono has carved a handsomely shaped bent Dublin in this rather compact rendition, the line work and overall design a testament to his talents. The stocky bowl displays a forward cant and discrete flare from a plump heel toward the rim, with the shank continuing that muscular disposition. Full-bodied and voluptuous in hand, it's finished in a smooth, contrast stained finish. The Rook line is among Tonino's highest grades, reflecting his use of high-quality briar and an intuitive eye for grain orientation. Subsequently, this piece features dense tendrils of flame grain erupting from the heel to the birdseye-laden rim. It's certainly easy to see where "flame grain" gets its name in this stunning, robust pipe.
