Jacono: Partially Rusticated Olivewood Billiard Tobacco Pipe

Though the shaping of this muscular Billiard from Tonino leans heavily toward the typical Italian neoclassic design, the use of materials and overall presentation makes it a rather modernist interpretation. Here, the stummel is fashioned from olivewood, vividly displaying the wood's iconic and wild grain patterns in inky trails across the bowl and craggily rusticated shank. For the stem, then, Jacono has used a jet black acrylic that contrasts starkly and handsomely with the trim metal band along the shank end, and especially the honeyed hues of the stummel.
