For Tonino Jacono's 40th Anniversary as a pipe maker, he fashioned a special 100-pipe release of commemorative pipes, 50 of which were Authors — the other 50 Volcanoes such as this one. A bold, Italian neoclassic take on the shape, it features a forward-canted bowl that subtly pinches inward as it tapers to the rim, paired to a quite stout shank and tapered stem. Like all pipes in the series, it boasts Tonino's iconic Knight rusticated finish, dressed in a two-tone stain that amplifies the contrasting smoothness of the rim and shank end. A large bowl here, with plenty of room for your favorite blends, and with such a broad base, you can easily put the pipe down between puffs. Plenty to admire both from a visual and tactile perspective, and made even more collectible by coming complete with a special 40th Anniversary certificate.
