A sweeping, gestural bent Dublin from Tonino Jacono, this piece nods toward Danish design style with its flaring, plateau-covered rim, fluid curves and easy, elongated transition. Maintaining the muscular aesthetics associated with Italian neoclassic shaping, however, the bowl dominates the form, with the more slender, gracefully arcing shank and downturned stem promoting a hands-free smoking posture. The stummel is wearing the low-profile, earthy version of Tonino's Pawn sandblast, highlighting the briar's tight-knit, multiple-layered growth rings in a handsome display.
