Italian artisan Tonino Jacono is one of the most prolific users of olivewood, his portfolio full of stunning pipes handcrafted from the alternative medium. Like briar, it's native to the Mediterranean but displays grain patterns quite different from those of briar. That difference is well showcased in this Billiard rendition, as the olivewood's inky grain mixes and mingles across the tall bowl. Arrow straight and rather flat along the underside, this piece sits upright, and the palette is improved further by an accent of warm boxwood.
