Jacono: Rook Bent Dublin with Purpleheart Tobacco Pipe

Purpleheart isn't exactly the most common accent material out there, but Tonino Jacono has incorporated it into a number of his designs now — and quite well at that. Being a naturally violet-colored hardwood, it's not the easiest medium to pair things with, but Tonino always does an exceptional job, adding just a touch of character to each piece without becoming ostentatious or distracting. We see a ferrule of it adorning this dynamic bent Dublin and displaying some visually appealing grain patterns in its own right. It provides ample contrast against the jet-black tones of the acrylic stem and the warm, smoky contrast stain of the stummel.
