Jacono: King Bent Brandy Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-616-1464
In 1981, Tonino Jacono and his father-in-law began developing an idea for a pipe-making workshop. Tonino's father-in-law would supply the briar from the mill where he worked; Tonino's brother-in-law would shape the pipes; and Tonino would finish the pipes. Two years later, Tonino and his family were crafting pipes centralized around a core philosophy: offer the highest-quality smoking instruments at the right price. Four decades later, Tonino now heads the workshop and has taken over carving the pipes himself, though he maintains the same adherence to that core value system. Here, Tonino showcases his impeccable shaping acumen and handsome finishing work. This King-graded bent Brandy boasts a plump, full-bodied bowl that stands at the fore of a sinuously bent shank-and-stem arrangement. Almost Volcano-like in its construction, the bowl tapers from its wide heel to its tauter rim, and as it does, it produces a low-set waistline the conforms naturally to the hand. The shank and stem's fluid construction lends a touch of gesture to the shape's silhouette and promotes a comfortable smoking posture. A warm smooth finish elevates the ensemble and highlights striking flame grain across the bowl and shank alike.
