Jacono: Stalemate Rhodesian Tobacco Pipe

In this Rhodesian rendition from Italy's Tonino Jacono, neoclassical shaping is on full display, the bowl taking on a shape reminiscent of the Dublin thanks to its dramatic flare from its heel to its mid-set waistline. There's plenty of substance on display here, with more than two inches of both height and breadth to ensure an imposing presence and a good deal of insulation in hand. A wide transition leads to a lifting shank that flows into a trim, demurely curved saddle stem, offering a comfortable smoking posture and some elegant sinuousness to the composition. Additionally, the stummel is crafted from hornbeam, an alternative hardwood that boasts incredibly density and heat resistance. It is dressed here in a silky, blonde smooth finish, highlighting concentric growth rings that radiate from the right flank.
