Jacono: Knight Bent Dublin Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-616-1532
Tonino Jacono, along with his father-in-law and brother-in-law, created the Jacono company in 1981. While each member had their own roles, they were all united by the common goal of creating high-quality pipes at a fair price. With its prominent bowl and fluid, gestural profile, this bent Dublin from Jacono possesses a strong sense of momentum throughout its composition. From the sweeping heel, the bowl grows thick walls that gradually flare toward the undulating, plateau-crowned rim. A compact shank curls gently upward from the transition and joins to a gracefully arced saddle stem, the pair offering a comfortable smoking posture. Jacono pipes are graded according to a chess-themed naming convention, with this "Knight" piece wearing a dark, craggy rustication, save for the rim and shank end, which are dressed in a light, warm stain for a touch of contrast.
