Jacono: Pawn Apple Sitter Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-616-1617

Jacono was formed in 1981 by Tonino Jacono, his father-in-law, and his brother-in-law. This Apple from the quality-driven Italian marque has been bestowed with a flat heel upon which to rest the pipe upright. Combined with the bowl's slight forward cant, this lends the visual effect of a slanted rim. Atop a chamber of respectable capacity, this rim, subtly inflated, bears a smooth finish of pale hue, contrasting with the rest of the stummel's dark sandblast. Stacks of cross grain — highlighted a pale tan — flow down the bowl in concentric circles, with subtle flame grain guiding the eye through the walls' plump curvature into the flat heel. The cylindrical shank grows seamlessly out of a wide transition before meeting the acrylic saddle stem just beyond a slim band of smooth-finished briar. Based on a chess-themed grading system, this pipe is designated as a "Pawn."
