The Tomato is a shape that has a surprising amount of versatility to it, from near-spherical shapes to low, squat ones, all feeling as organic as the last. This Jerry Zenn example is one of the former, his Danish and Japanese influences shining in its soft curvature, forward-ebbing stance, and gentle line of transition, while a high-kicking shank boasts a generous accent of natural horn. While the shape itself is impressive, the finish is perhaps even moreso, a vivid contrast bringing out a wealth of flame grain on all sides. Beautiful piece, and one that certainly demonstrates Jerry's talent for sleek, fetching details on all sides.
