Jerry Zenn: Sandblasted Acorn with Bamboo and Boxwood Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-788-0049
Taiwanese pipe maker Jerry Zenn spent 25 years in the automotive industry before transitioning to pipe making, blending his mechanical expertise with a deep passion for the craft. Renowned for his meticulous attention to detail, particularly in the smoke channel, Jerry's pipes provide a refined smoking experience. His work reflects his unwavering dedication, precision, and commitment to quality craftsmanship. This Acorn is a stunning example of Jerry Zenn's technique, showcasing his blend of Danish and Japanese influences combined with organic accents. The fore features a domed rim that gracefully curves through the flanks, leading to a flattened heel that replaces the traditional pointed design of the Acorn, making this pipe a stable Sitter. A low-set shank emerges from the bowl, extended with a long stretch of light bamboo that flares to the shank-end, where a thick accent of boxwood meets a softly bent stem that matches the shape of the shank face with a broad expansion ring. The stummel offers a wealth of intriguing texture, with an auburn-stained sandblast and nodes of bamboo throughout the shank.
