Konstantin Shekita: Lattice Horn Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-600-0025
Konstantin Shekita's latticework is one of those "high-risk, high-reward" techniques. There's simply no margin for error in this process of under-cutting and creating delicate bridges of briar. Unlike a smooth pipe, Konstantin can't just simply revert back to a sandblasted finish if things go awry. If any of these delicate bridges of the latticework are snapped, the entire piece likely has to just be tossed. That's the risk part anyway. The reward is much more obvious. It's simply one of the most unique textures and aesthetics used to finish a pipe, creating compositions quite unlike anything else out there. A fine example of this high-risk, high-reward technique here in this wave-like Horn, making for a wonderfully organic and beautiful pipe.
