Lomma: Partially Sandblasted Bent Bulldog with Beechwood
Product Number: 002-596-0121
An exceptional, and exceedingly Danish, take on the old bent Bulldog here, this design from Lars Jonsson follows the formula applied to the carver's Rhodesian renditions, only instead of a stummel treated predominantly with a craggy, rough rustication below the beadline, Lars opted for a rich, grain-coaxing sandblast — resulting in a broad, flaring display of rings climbing up the flanks. All this serves to lead the eye to a beveled rim showcasing a dark display of birdseye, accentuated by a rich ruby stain evocative of Dunhill's old Bruyere. A beechwood accent near the mortise serves to lend the composition a bit of brighter contrast, not to mention a touch of organic elegance.
