Lomma: Sandblasted Bent Brandy
Product Number: 002-596-0134
This bent Brandy from Lars Jonsson of Lomma isn't quite as overtly muscular as those compact numbers we've seen from the carver in the past, though the Danish-inclined transition and lift of heel, coupled with a gentle trail of rounded shank and saddle-stem serve to throw visual weight to the bowl in profile. And as said bowl sports some of the most well-defined ring-grain I've encountered on a Lomma briar, I'd say the visual weight is well-served, offering a stimulating texture in hand and a handsome visual appeal to boot. The rim is finished smooth, a pleasant aesthetic detail, and another which hearkens back to the Danish school. Needless to say, this will be a difficult one to put down.
