There's a nice bit of lift from the spurred heel to the front of the sandblasted "shell" of this Beetle from Michail Kyriazanos. Combined with the dark finish of said shell, the resulting bulge does a lot to balance the long five knuckle bamboo shank. The result is a pipe with a lot of forward momentum, yet one that still retains a visual balance between stummel, shank extension, and stem.
