Though lifting quite high, the curve and re-curve of this Cherrywood's shank and stem remains gentle and easy in style, a fitting match for the way the forward cant of the bowl itself is expressed with a subtle curve and only a gradual taper. Continuing with the rather gentle, quiet theme of things, for a finish Michail chose a sandblast, and a very detailed one — but also a very light one, then stained it in a warm sort of terracotta (terracotta with a touch of amber is what I'd call the color). There is one element of contrast mixed in with all this, though, which would be the tight spacing and prominent profile of the bamboo's four knuckles.
