Much like his renditions of the BoDog and Eskimo, here Michail Kyriazanos has fashioned his take on Adam Davidson's signature Fig shape. Unlike Adam's Fig, this "Sitting Fig" is, as you could likely have guessed, a sitter. Like Abe Herbaugh's take on the shape, there's a significant degree of visual weight imbued to the fore, likely for the practical reason of allowing the pipe to stay upright on a flat surface. The upward-kicking shank sports four knuckles of pale bamboo operating in perfect rhythm with one another, echoed by the implication of a fifth at the stem's base. The shank's medium makes for an excellent complement to the full display of plateau at the rim, bolstered by licks of lively flame surrounding the bowl.
