Michail Kyriazanos has pushed the boundaries of what could be defined as a "pencil shank", as many of his slim-shanked numbers can seem even more slender and delicate than a pencil. The shank of this little sandblasted Pot, however, I'd say is a touch more muscular than the average Ticonderoga, though it's certainly trim enough to proportionally accentuate the size of the plump-bodied bowl, despite the chamber's fairly compact Group 3 size. At just under 22 grams, it's very light, and the dark chestnut-stained sandblast highlights a ring-grain pattern that is more than just respectable. Topping it off, it's a firm sitter, and the band of translucent horn at the stem base makes for an elegant contrast.
