Michail Kyriazanos: Smooth Dublin with Silver
Product Number: 002-629-0113
Michail Kyriazanos has a stunning ability to craft classic shapes, even when they are imbued with a hint of something different from the usual archetype. This straight Dublin is one of those — a compact piece, with a soft, mild taper to its bowl, as well as a gentle bevel to its rim. Just below and in front of the transition, it boasts a small spur, giving it a profile that feels almost Cutty-like, breaking the mold of both Cutty and Dublin in a way that still manages to feel entirely coherent to the piece. It's been finished in a classical, red-hued stain, and accented by a bright, sterling silver army mount. Quite the neat work from Michail, and certainly a piece that should appeal to those with an eye for the classics.- Rachel DuBose
