Nice Pipe ∕ OKAY Stem
July 13, 2020
Product: Missouri Meerschaum Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler
One of the main reasons I bought this pipe was for the fancy stem. On that front, I wasn't impressed. Quality control hasn't always been excellent with MM, but I can live with that on a $5 cob. For this, I was a little sad. On mine, the stem doesn't ... Read More
fit into the shank nicely like the one in the photo. Instead, a large and uneven portion of the unpolished taper (the 'push-style' tenon) sticks out. It's kinda ugly! 𝙗𝙪𝙩... ☞ With that having been said, I've probably smoked it a hundred times since I bought it, and it's a nice pipe. Also, I've heard plenty of other pipers who love theirs, so I just got the ugly duckling! Finally, one thing to keep in mind is that it's a little bit heavy—not crazy heavy—but enough so that clenching can tire your jaw out depending on the strength of your jaw. A fine pipe. Read Less
Quality control not good

I love my cob’s but when I pay this much for one I expect to be able to smoke it. It wasn’t drilled all the way through so I had to finish it and the stem end is so narrow you can’t pass a pipe cleaner through it. This one was a waste of money. I lov... Read More

Update: I must say that SmokingPipes was very quick to respond and take care of me. Great customer service. Read Less

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler
Want to own a piece of history, something that doesn't require breaking in and smokes great from the first bowl? Corn Cob is it. Missouri Meerschaum, in my opinion makes the best Corn Cob Pipes in the world. They have been used since the 1800's and b... Read More
y many famous people such as Mark Twain to General MacArthur. No they won't last like a briar will, you can get many years out of them if you know how to smoke them properly, but they're not designed to last generations. They work and work well. I'm a huge fan of this brand and this pipe. I have a few in my collection and on display as they are historic art still made today. I love mine and I'm always looking to score a special edition every chance I get. Read Less
A good ole American smoker

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler
This pipe is a wonderful smoker. I have other MM pipes, so I figured I would try this one. I gravitate to bent billiards and bent apples. This pipe is the most comfortable jaw hanger I have ever smoked. It has certainly earned every star it has, and ... Read More

Love the stem and bent billiard style. I have other MM cobs but this one is by far my favorite, for the price it’s a steal.

I did take off 1 star because the shank had wood shavings inside shank, and at the end of it inside the bowl that weren’t completely filed or removed so when I took a test pull, it was really plugged up. It was a quick and easy fix though so we’re go... Read More
od :). Also, I had to widen the opening on the stem mouthpiece. I couldn’t get a pipe cleaner into the draft hole on the stem. I had to use a sharp knife to cut out a little plastic so mouthpiece was wide enough to get a pipe cleaner into the draft hole. It wouldn’t hurt MM to tighten up on QA. Minor or not, still shouldn’t be happening.
The pipe looks and feels great. Just had my first bowl from it. Low Countries Atalaya which I very much enjoyed! the pipe smoked great, and for as fast as I smoked, it didn’t get too hot surprisingly. Very happy with it. I like how it has a thicker rim than my MM bent emerald. She’s a looker and a performer! Read Less

Of course, this is opinion, but it is hard to beat the aesthetic of this pipe. It is just overflowing with a sort of “old-world” charm. It was no surprise to me that it smoked like a dream, as all my cobs do, but this one has an especially comfortabl... Read More

I keep three of these so I won’t ever be without. Missouri Meerschaum doesn’t make great pipes, they make cheap pipes. Every so often, in spite of themselves, they make a pipe greater than the sun of its parts. The CTC is the easiest smoking pipe I h... Read More

Impressed by the amount of flaws packed into one pipe. Only half of the stem got polished and it doesn’t even fit the pipe (too small), acrylic dust everywhere, totally different color than whats pictured, and it’s unsmokable cuz its filled with hole... Read More
