Missouri Meerschaum: Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-543-0042

With a shared rustic aesthetic and prime spot in rotations and cellars across the pipe smoking community, a collaboration between boutique blending house Cornell & Diehl and Missouri Meerschaum seems quite fitting.

This affable bent Billiard, modeled after an old Missouri Meerschaum shape, features an easy, jaw-hanger bend as well as a comfortable mouthpiece of Italian acrylic. Known as the Charles Towne Cobbler, it's a classic cob design with plenty of rustic style, not to mention a bit of old world refinement.

Note: While all of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.

Nice Pipe ∕ OKAY Stem
July 13, 2020
Product: Missouri Meerschaum Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler
One of the main reasons I bought this pipe was for the fancy stem. On that front, I wasn't impressed. Quality control hasn't always been excellent with MM, but I can live with that on a $5 cob. For this, I was a little sad. On mine, the stem doesn't ... Read More

I love my cob’s but when I pay this much for one I expect to be able to smoke it. It wasn’t drilled all the way through so I had to finish it and the stem end is so narrow you can’t pass a pipe cleaner through it. This one was a waste of money. I lov... Read More

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler
Want to own a piece of history, something that doesn't require breaking in and smokes great from the first bowl? Corn Cob is it. Missouri Meerschaum, in my opinion makes the best Corn Cob Pipes in the world. They have been used since the 1800's and b... Read More

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler
This pipe is a wonderful smoker. I have other MM pipes, so I figured I would try this one. I gravitate to bent billiards and bent apples. This pipe is the most comfortable jaw hanger I have ever smoked. It has certainly earned every star it has, and ... Read More

Love the stem and bent billiard style. I have other MM cobs but this one is by far my favorite, for the price it’s a steal.

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler
I did take off 1 star because the shank had wood shavings inside shank, and at the end of it inside the bowl that weren’t completely filed or removed so when I took a test pull, it was really plugged up. It was a quick and easy fix though so we’re go... Read More

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler
Of course, this is opinion, but it is hard to beat the aesthetic of this pipe. It is just overflowing with a sort of “old-world” charm. It was no surprise to me that it smoked like a dream, as all my cobs do, but this one has an especially comfortabl... Read More

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler
I keep three of these so I won’t ever be without. Missouri Meerschaum doesn’t make great pipes, they make cheap pipes. Every so often, in spite of themselves, they make a pipe greater than the sun of its parts. The CTC is the easiest smoking pipe I h... Read More

Product: Missouri Meerschaum Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler
Just got my CT Cobbler today and like other reviewers here I had to do a little clean up on the bowl and stummel and clear out the wood burrs and shavings. After that I broke it in with a bowl of Haunted Bookshop and it smoked great for my first smok... Read More

Impressed by the amount of flaws packed into one pipe. Only half of the stem got polished and it doesn’t even fit the pipe (too small), acrylic dust everywhere, totally different color than whats pictured, and it’s unsmokable cuz its filled with hole... Read More

Purchased this pipe to try other tobaccos in before using my briars. The pipe smoked so well it’s now in my regular pipe rotation.
