Nording: Handmade Smooth Freehand (13) Tobacco Pipe

What immediately stood out to me about this Nording Freehand was all the juxtaposing elements at play and how they all manage to seamlessly work together. The saddle stem is lithely bent and paired to a square-paneled shank which then meets a flaring, muscular bowl. In profile the bowl resembles a blooming flower, the curved shaping of the paneled flanks reminiscent of flower petals. Those facets add some sturdiness to the piece's in-hand feel while also remaining remarkably comfortable and conforming naturally to wrapped fingers. If you're a fan of organically inclined designs or Fancy style Freehands, this Nording is a strong contender.
