Nording: Handmade Smooth Bent Dublin with Bamboo (19)
Product Number: 002-508-10111
An exquisite piece from Erik Nording, this bent Dublin is quite traditionally inclined in comparison to Erik's more ostentatious, Danish Fancy Freehand designs. The domed rim coupled with the sinuously bent shank-and-stem combination give it a Calabash-esque profile, while also enabling it to be comfortably clenched. The bowl displays a hint of forward-urging momentum while also boasting an impressively deep tobacco chamber with thick walls to offer plenty of insulation. The stummel's light contrast stain beautifully highlights the briar's natural grain patterns with tight streaks of vertical grain cascading down the bowl's flanks. A single knuckle of pale bamboo accents the shank end, handsomely blending in with the stummel's light hue.-Truett Smith
