Erik Nording is among the most prolific and creative pipe makers in history, and his energy never seems to abate. He can make the wildest, most ostentatious pipes seen, or restrain himself with traditional renditions, but he always makes them his own and with his own flair. This Dublin sitter is a fine example, dressed in a warm chestnut stain to illuminate the tight tendrils of grain that cascade down the bowl. With a smoothly supple transition, and a dramatically canted bowl, it's made to fit naturally in the hand, though it sits on its own with ease.
