Nording: Handmade Smooth Freehand with Silver (17)

Product Number: 002-508-11219

Erik Nording's Freehand shapes garner a lot of attention, and rightfully so, as the Danish carver is able to consistently deliver bold and memorable pieces. This muscular Freehand fits in well with Nording's portfolio of floral shapes, with the fluting channels and ridgelines around the bowl promoting the look of a blooming flower in profile. This example has been dressed in a light stain, showcasing the excellent vertical grain that cascades down the bowl's flanks while a trio of textured silver rings along the shank end offers even more visual interest. It's a stunning addition to Nording's Handmade line, which contains some of the legendary carver's most prestigious pipes and demonstrates his creative shaping style.
