Like the Falcon and Kirsten designs, the metal shanks to these Compass pipes from Erik Nording give a truly modern aesthetic to what is otherwise a simple, streamlined shape. The bowl of this sturdy-sitting Poker is dressed in Nording's Raw finish, which, as I'm sure you have already guessed, means that the briar has been left in a completely natural, unpolished state. It will allow the briar to darken with time and use, gradually taking on color with each bowl that's enjoyed.
