This bent Egg from Erik Nording is quite traditionally inclined in comparison to the carver's more flourishing, Danish Fancy Freehand designs. Dressed in a dark, ruby contrast stain, the bowl houses a generously deep chamber and offers a full-bodied feel in hand as well as an effortless sweeping silhouette. Lively streaks of flame grain rise along the bowl's flanks, while the pearly white acrylic stem and matching shank-end accent add to the visual interest of an already remarkable piece.
