Nording: Hunting Pipe Partially Rusticated Cheetah (2020) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-508-12656

Since 1995, Erik Nording has annually presented his Hunting Pipe series, a line designed to promote conservation and draw attention to on endangered species. Every year, a particular pipe design is rendered, having been inspired by a game animal. For 2020, the pipe shape is a bent Apple; the animal a Cheetah. This pipe presents a sort of dynamism in its slight forward cant and sinuous, graceful flow of the shank and stem in back. The Apple bowl is impressively deep chambered and broad. The stummel wears a distinctive partial rustication, with an accompanying matte contrast finish, the "spots" on this piece said to evoke the Cheetah's warm, dark spots. A trim ring of black bamboo accents the shank, while a complementing black stem tops things off.
